With so much to do the kids had a hard time choosing where to start! The water slide I have to say was their absolute favourite and kept our kids entertained for hours.

The pool was a perfect afternoon oasis. A walk in area fantastic for little kids building confidence in the water and a relaxed family friendly place to enjoy together.  We promised Harry he'd be out of floaties before the holiday was over and sure enough he was.

Between the tennis court, pool, jumping pillow and slide there wasn't much room for down time. This translated to our kiddos being well and truly ready for an early night by the end of the day!

It was amazing to be there for the school holiday activities including movie nights, discos and just the general holiday atmosphere. 

This park is great, but the team behind the scenes go above and beyond and it shows.

Arriving late on our travels we didn't know about the holiday activities ahead. Looking out the window on our first morning Harry excitedly screamed there was a camel walking past our caravan. We didn't believe him until we saw for ourselves and no once could get their shoes on fast enough!

Camels 

The ride was amazing and something the kids still talk about. Even after the ride they loved getting to know all about them.

Paddle boards

Being right at the waters edge its a magnificent spot, if you don't have your own you can hire paddle boards at the park to make it a day out on the water.

Go karts 

Always a favourite, every time our boys take off I see that Thunder Road moment and hear the song from Grease as we wave the flag and they race off together making memories they'll always remember.

Fundraisers

Whether it be a gold coin donation for a BBQ or a scone morning tea, its always for a worthy cause and we are so happy to get behind them.  Every little bit helps.

A spectacular spot and if you angle the camera just right it looks like your floating in the expanse of the ocean.

The strand is a haven for families. The water park and playground is picture perfect for kids especially when we pack a picnic lunch or grab some fish and chips to eat by the beach for a great day out.

There are alot of restaurants as well if you want to dine in along the way. It was hard to choose but we splurged and went to the sailing club and the food was divine!

Bluff point and Turtle lookout

It's rock steps all the way to the look out but well worth it. The boys did it easily just make sure you take water bottles, hats, sunscreen and snacks for a great day out.

As a mum I'd also say go earlier in the day, it does get hot! We saw quite a few turtles from the lookout and the dolphins were a bonus we weren't expecting. 

Take in some history and the views are spectacular. Everything is set up for families below the lookout.  Pack a picnic lunch or just head out for the day,

Money is tight as a family of 6, we have to plan ahead and save for our activities.

We took a day trip out to Great Keppel Island and what an incredible day it was. We took our own goggles, snorkels and flippers and it's a day we'll never forget.

This park is fur friendly and Dakota always loves every moment with us. When we headed out on our island adventures Dakota had her own adventure at the Rockhampton boarding  kennels & cattery.

It's  alittle out of town but the care they gave her meant the world.

There's alittle saying happy wife happy life.

Thats well and good as long as long as Kota's happy too.
